What should I wear to my appointment?
My only advice is to avoid shirts with large logos or slogans. Otherwise, wear whatever you’re comfortable in! If it is a couple or family, try to coordinate with each other so not to clash, although it isn’t necessary to match completey. Don’t be afraid to let your personality show through.
For traditional headshots, I typically recommend a dark, solid top with a basic neckline, or bare shoulders are also acceptable.
If you’re not sure what to wear, bring options!

What’s a Trash the Dress session? Isn’t that wasteful?
Not at all! We don’t literally trash the dress (unless you want to, of course!) It’s really about taking a dress that you typically only get to wear once and doing the unexpected with it. It can be as adventurous as you like- climbing trees or swimming at the beach. Or you could pair it with crazy shoes and a funky hairstyle for a more whimsical twist. It’s taking something traditional and making it something you’ve never seen before. It’s a great way to get more than one use out of your prom dress or wedding gown, a chance to have creative, beautiful portraits that most of your friends haven’t seen before- and, it’s nothing that a good dry cleaner can’t fix afterwards!
